DeForest - Brian Patrick Hunter 1962-2024. Brian Patrick Hunter was born in Long Island, New York, on September 28th, 1962. He passed away unexpectedly early Friday, August 9th, 2024. Brian graduated high school in Knoxville, Tennessee (1980). Brian then moved to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina (1986), where he met his wife, Karleen, the same year. Brian and Karleen were married the following year (1987) and then moved to Karleen's home state of Wisconsin in 1992 to build a home and start their family. Brian leaves behind three children, Wren, Dillon, and Colton, as well as Max Klawitter and Erik Anderson, whom he loved as his own. Brian was so proud of his family and spoke about them every chance he could. Brian was an open book when it came to his sobriety, always ready to help others find their way. Brian was a proud employee of the Russ Darrow Group for 23 years, where he built endless amounts of friendships and touched so many lives with his presence. Brian will be missed by so many of the people he knew throughout his life, from the endless number of stories you've heard a thousand times to the random noises and quotes he would use every day (Brian-isms) he leaves us with so much to remember him by. With his unwavering faith in God, we know we will see him again in heaven. Easy to remember and hard to forget. Husband, Father, Brother, Friend, Brother B.
Brian’s celebration of life will be held at Rex’s Innkeeper, 301 N Century Ave, Waunakee, WI 53597, on Sunday, August 18th, 2024 from 11am to 2pm.
Karleen. I'm so sorry for your loss. I consider myself fortunate to have worked with Brian. I've been thinking of him recently and can't believe he's moved on. I drive by your home often and look for him mowing the lawn. Always gave him a honk and a wave. - Dave Preston

I met Brian when we lived on Long Island, New York. Our families were very close, we moved to Knoxville shortly after their family did. I have countless wonderful memories of him as an adolescent and a young man and as a grown up! We have been in touch for nearly 50 years. What a wonderful, caring, loving and giving man he was! He will be remembered fondly forever. Xo blessing to the family.

Brian, Barry and Denis were very instrumental in my believing on God the person. It was the beginning of my deep research to know God intimately. I am forever grateful for knowing the Hunters as my extended family on Hilton Head Island. I am from Canada and at a young age of 23 moved here alone. The Hunter family loved me like their own in an important time in my journey. My heart remains touched. When Brian met Karleen we all knew the were perfect for each other. What an exciting time! They have loved God throughout their life. A true testament. Brian leaves us with the gift of his love. Karleen, I love you and will pray for comfort for your family. ❤️

Brian was a amazing person. Im really good friends with his son Dillon not long after me and dillon started being friends I met his father Brian, another friendship was formed then too. He was always super caring and had the best advice. He always made sure I was doing good and always lent a hand when he could. I will miss the nights hanging out and talking on the patio and will miss him telling me about the fast cars that come into the dealership. You will be missed all around Brian♥️. Until we meet again. - Kaden

He was such a special person, I worked with him for 17 years and we always treated each other like we were brothers. He had a gift of making every person he interacted with feel special. His passing has left a huge hole in my life along with many others. Praying for his family to find strength in this moment. I loved Brian and I will never find another soul like his.

Colton and I became friends in elementary school and after that I was routinely over at the Hunter household through elementary, middle, and high school. Brian treated me like one of his own and he was so enjoyable to be around at every stage of my youth. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones, and I'm grateful to have had him in my life growing up. So many fond memories to look back on. Rest in peace, Brother B. Thank you for everything.

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
