When she retired it was only for six months, as she went on to work at Urgent Care for several years and finally retired at the age of 70. She loved cross stitching, knitting, gardening, visiting the Oregon Coast, rock hunting, fishing at the cabin, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Hello, I am so sorry to hear of Bonnie's passing. I loved working with her at urgent care. We went out many times for Pizza after a busy night! I am sorry I didn't see that she had passed. She was an inspiration to all of us. Take care and know that she was wonderful to work with! Beth Beck

I can't count the number of times Bonnie helped me during my tenure at Meriter. I wasn't a clinician, rather, supported the hospital with marketing/advertising. She ALWAYS answered my questions, helped me schedule healthcare professionals for ads/photos/interviews. She was a beautiful soul.

Bonnie was simply a magnificent human being, nurse and leader. I knew her not only as a friend but as a valued colleague who was the heart and soul, as well as leader of the staff of the emergency department at Methodist, then Meriter hospitals. As a clinical staff she was once named by her peers nationwide as the national nurse of the year. All of us who knew her thought she was an obvious choice. Her fellow nurses at Methodist, a great group of candidates in their own rights, wrote the nomination that got her elected. She later faced terrible challenges with calm grace, as usual.

Bonnie was such a beautiful woman. Her caring nature, love of her family and friends, her willingness to help any soul who needed support are just a few of the many, many qualities we on Earth will miss. Rest in peace, Bonnie. Until we meet again..: ❤️

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
