Verona

Our beloved, Bill Gene Tennison, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2017, at his home in Verona, Wisconsin.

He was born December 20, 1941, in Booneville, Mississippi, to the late Hermon Jesse Tennison and Eula Mae Tennison.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Sharon Sue Eley Tennison; children, Jamie Sue Tennison and Joel Scott Tennison (Maureen); and grandchildren Will Henry and Ty Patrick Tennison. He is also survived by his sister, Patsy Glick (David), as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

As a young man, he proudly served in Korea as a military policeman for the United States Army. Upon returning home, he built a successful business in Chicago. Bill was a self-made man defined by his unfailing kindness and morality. Many of his friends referred to him as a “Renaissance man.” He could effortlessly fix anything. He enjoyed tennis, gardening, fishing, cooking, and loving his grandchildren.

Bill dedicated his life to his family and his marriage of 52 years. His friendship, wonderful heart and love for others will forever be missed, remembered and treasured in memories and our enduring love.
