Obituary For Berkley Brown

Berkley Brown passed away on Saturday September 10th at Sienna Crest Assisted Living in Oregon, Wisconsin at 92 years of age. Berk left behind his best friend and loving wife of 68 yrs., Dorothy (Collins) Brown. Berk was born and raised in Boscobel Wisconsin then left for the Air Force in Biloxi Mississippi where he met his wife. He spent his years living in Pass Christian Mississippi then relocated to Wisconsin to be near family. Berk is preceded in death by his mother, Nell Brown, Father Harry Brown, brother Bradley Brown, sisters Jo Baumgartner, Jean Brickson and Betty Ann Austin.

Berkley is survived by his daughters Lori (Dave) Deegan, Terri (Gerry) DiNardo and 4 grandchildren, Kelly Deegan, Eric Deegan (Caitlin), Michael DiNardo and Kate DiNardo (Greg Buikema).

Berkley will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor, joking with everyone he meets. He had a very happy outlook on life and loved being with his family, fishing, singing, working in his yard and listening to church music. Berk could play many musical instruments, never having learned to read music. He also spent many years pitching for his church softball team and was a member of Midvale Baptist Church for many years. Berk loved the Brewers, Packers, Badgers and sports in general.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Sienna Crest in Oregon and the special nurses and staff at Heartland Hospice.

A private memorial will be held in Berkley’s honor.

I will miss Uncle Berk (brother of my mother Jean Brickson) and also recall, as others have stated, his wit and encouraging us to perform or sing when we were young. He entertained us all and I will have fond memories of him. I hadn't seen him in way too many years and I know he is now resting in peace. 68 years of marriage is remarkable! My heartfelt sympathy to Aunt Dot, Lori, Terri and their families and wish you all well.

I'm so sad to hear of Uncle Berks passing. I always loved being around him, listening to his stories, making us all laugh. He was a special man.

Uncle Berk was the BEST ever! Never a dull moment at his home! Because of his wit, we cousins had to each sing (or perform something) in order to eat supper!! Too funny but he loved a talent show!! We miss him dearly. His reunion with his parents & Brown siblings was glorious!! Sending peace n love ❤️ Darcy

I remember Uncle Berk especially from the Collins family connection. What a sad loss. May the Holy Spirit comfort all.

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
