Obituary For Anna Cosh Zeman

Juneau -

Anna C. Zeman, age 102, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at her son’s home in Juneau, Wisconsin. She was born January 28, 1922, to Elizabeth and John Cosh in Middleton, New York.

Ann joined the Army in July 1943 and was honorably discharged in January 1946 as a Mess Sergeant. It was at this time that she met Adolph Zeman, also in the service, they married July 4, 1948, in Madison, Wisconsin.

Among her hobbies were rug braiding and many card games were played at friends’ homes, VFW’s and the Elk’s Club. Packer games, Brewers, Bucks, UW Badgers and golf were watched on TV. Ann worked as a secretary in the Dane County Courts for 19 years. Friday night fish fries at their son Ken’s bar, “The Chateau” near Montello kept her busy for many years.

In 2000, Adolph and Ann moved to Westshire Village, Waunakee, and she began showing her baking and cooking skills there. Many meals were served and enjoyed with the help of many friends.

Ann is survived by her sons, Ken (Sue) Zeman and Jay (Darlene) Zeman; grandchildren, Robin (special friend, Alex) Daun, Lindsey (Ryan) Kraft, Landon (Stacy) O’Dell, Justin (Katie) Wright, Jonathan Wright, and Berttina Mills; and many other great-grandchildren, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph; both parents; brothers, Alfred, Tom and Sherwood; sisters, Marie, Alice, and Helen; and grandson, Anthony Zeman.

A Celebration of life will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. on September 1, 2024, at the Stratford Community Room at Westshire Village, 5477 Westshire Circle, Waunakee. Special thanks to SSM Health Hospice.

I'm sorry for your loss. Prayers for family and friends.

To Anna's family: my nephew Bill did the homework for me and found this site. Unfortunately my skills with the technology are not always up to par but now that I have found it I want to offer my belated condolences to you. I am Anna's first cousin daughter of Bill, Hipe'sbrother. As children we were all enamored of our older cousins, Anna among them. Anna was so pretty. When she enlisted we were so proud of her. It was a terrible time for our country. Over the years it was always exciting to know she was coming for a visit. Sister Marie was my age, she knew she was fortunate to have a sister like Anna. I am thankful I have always had a contact with her through my brother Alan and nephew bill Cosh

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
