Obituary For Alvin "Al" Camren

DEFOREST - Alvin “Al” Camren, 72, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2023. Al's adventurous spirit and zest for life touched the hearts of many, and his legacy will forever be etched in the memories of those fortunate enough to have known him.

Born February 14, 1951 to Odell and Florence (Stark) Camren, Al grew up and lived in Deforest his entire life. Al’s life cannot be summed up in a few short sentences, he was a devoted father, husband, and son. Those that knew Al best, will remember his infectious hardy laugh, a caring and compassionate soul who was a loyal friend and avid fisherman.

Al loved to travel, always choosing the path less traveled to reach his destinations, taking in all the sights and meeting new people along the way. Al had a unique ability to make everyone he met feel like an old friend.

The world is a lesser place without his presence. Though he may no longer cast his line into the waters, the ripples of his kindness, love, and laughter will continue to spread throughout the lives of those he touched. His legacy will live on in the stories shared by friends and family.

Al is predeceased in death by his father Odell, mother Florence, beloved wife and turtledove Judy Camren. He is survived by his children Neal (Bekah) Camren and Brian (Becky) Sidwell.

A celebration of life will be held at The Shed (Paddle) bar 6335 Portage Rd, Deforest on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
