MADISON – Lee B. Berger, age 77, died Thursday, June 28, 2012. Lee was born January 19, 1935 in Cashton, WI to Ernest and Henrietta (Kuhlig). He graduated from Cashton High School as an honor student and was involved in many school activities. He was very active in Scouting, earning an Eagle Scout award, 49 merit badges and elected to The Order of the Arrow. Lee worked in accounting and book keeping positions in Madison and Milwaukee. Lee was a devoted member of the Methodist church in Madison and Milwaukee. One of the biggest enjoyments in his life was umpiring softball and working for the city recreation department as a scorer / timekeeper in the basketball program. He had a lifelong love of photography and almost always had a camera with him. He was also an avid Badger Hockey fan. Lee enjoyed talking with people and his outgoing personality and big smile made him the perfect Santa at Christmas time. Lee made many friends whom he valued very much and he will be greatly missed.
Private services will be held at a later date. Thanks to all the people who cared for Lee over the years.
